This unique Lemurian crystal is 3.5" long & 1.25" W at its base, & weighs 2.6 oz. (9 cm. X 3 cm., 75 gm.) With these crystals a picture is worth thousands of words. We go to lengths to offer multi-angle photos to present it to you as if you were handling it.
Some general info about Lemurian Crystals: During our last visit to Brazil, a stone dealer friend was clearing old inventory & offered these to us, saying they were "Lemurian Healing Sticks." Intrigued by these crystals' unusual shape, clarity and striations, we purchased them. We have since learned that these are known here as “Lemurian Seed Crystals,” & are from a mine in the Serra do Cabral Mountains in Brazil. They are called “seed” crystals because they were found individually in the sand, not in clay, geodes or matrix-based clusters like most quartz. They are known for their unusual vitreous or glassy appearance & frosted or matted looking surface. They also have very distinctive horizontal striations, some with markings that look almost like etchings or glyphs. We have tried to capture these features in the photos below. Some have a pinkish or orangey color or hue to them. The original mine where these are found has apparently stopped yielding crystals, therefore this particular type of quartz has become increasingly rare.
